VERY RARE FRENCH ANATOMICAL ABDOMINAL ORGANS AZOUX / AUGIER NICOLAS R. 1919-1939 PARIS

Rare and historically significant anatomical model from the Laboratory of Anatomy of the Faculty of Medicine of Paris, crafted between 1919 and 1939. This plaster model represents the abdominal organs, showcasing internal structures with remarkable detail. Historical Background: This model is part of a prestigious collection created under the direction of Professor A. Nicolas, based on dissections performed by Dr. M. Augier. The models were meticulously cast in plaster and hand-painted by P. Roux, resulting in an incredibly life like representation used for medical education.

Description:

Material: Plaster/chalkware composition, hand-painted, mounted on a wooden base.

Inscribed with: Azoux and Collection Nicolas, Augier Roux.

Condition: Retains original paint, with age-related wear, minor cracks, and some repairs (see photos for details). Rarity: These anatomical models were only produced for universities and museums, making private ownership exceptionally rare. A truly stunning and museum-quality antique medical piece, perfect for collectors, medical historians, or interior decorators looking for a unique scientific artifact.
